Event production communication operates at a different level than general event operations. It is the internal nervous system of a live show — stage managers calling show cues, technical directors coordinating camera and lighting operators, crew leads managing load-in and load-out, and show callers directing talent movement and technical transitions. This communication is time-critical to the second and runs parallel to (but separate from) security, medical, and guest services communication. SEI configures separate talk groups for production communication within the broader event radio architecture, ensuring production teams hear only what they need and operational teams are not disrupted by production channel traffic.
